Ontario Volunteer Service Awards, May 15, 2012 – Radisson Hotel
The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards recognizes over 400 citizens for their outstanding volunteerism within the community. Organizations nominate volunteers based on their years of service. Adults are recognized for five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, forty, fifty, and sixty plus years of service. The awards also honour the contributions of youth who are involved for more than two years at an organization.
United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts nominated six of its volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the organization. Award recipients included Madeleine Fex-Tinkis of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, Lynn Raven, Sharon Murdock, and Linda Hunter of Leadership Development Program, and Denis Theriault and Imane Ricard of the United Way Board of Directors.
Congratulations to all recipients for their ongoing hard work and dedication to our community!
